In the same time, I was preparing the Canadian scholarship I had a friend British mercenary through the French system named Awal, he talked me about the French scholarship that he was preparing. The council used him to try to convince me doing the French scholarship. But I did not want to do this scholarship for two main reasons. Firstly, the council has launched months back a campaign of having me hate studying in France. Even French mercenaries were pupated to criticize their country especially in comparison to the US, so that I would fight to go in the US, instead of going back home as France is close to Great Britain. The second reason is financial with the French scholarship you need to have a bank statement, the same bank statement which I tried desperately to have during months, for doing the American visa. Then, the simple idea of saying to me you need a bank statement to do it, made me think that I could not do this test, for I would not have the bank statement. I did not go further in this French scholarship invitation. Even Awal who informed me, told me his father is a business, though he did not have the money, he could have one of his friends to help his friend's son. I rather preferred to focus on the Canadian, scholarship that I could apply to.
In that period of waiting for having a scholarship and freedom opportunity to be free as I refused to go at the University of Niamey, Oscar asked me to meet Usman Musa. He was a mercenary selected in looking like Jean Bradley. He told me, he could pay my tuition fees in university. I thought that he would help me registered in the US with for example a bank statement. I met him, while he was simulated preparing a course in the Science Department of the University of Niamey. He was portrayed as a Math lecturer. We converse during minutes, with his eyes sank in a book on integral. I was not deceived by the interview, he just superficially asked me few questions on why I did not want to study in the University of Niamey; I gave him reasons that he took the care not to say false. I did not of course ask him to give me a bank statement or to pay me the tuition fees in an American university. He did not talk about it, either. Our conversation lasted 30 minutes, at the end of which I left disappointed.
The meeting was done in his office, the council and his accomplices had an opportunity to show me that the University of Niamey is not as bad as I think. It intended to show me a normal university, with normal lecturers, with almost nothing wrong. It was during the holydays there were not the endless academic year queues of students waiting to have a meal at the unique restaurant under the heavy sun. It was as well the holydays to see thousands students waiting buses in which they would be hundreds to be pealed up in it; in sighing and sweating under heavy sun heat. It was also the holydays to see students rioting, destroying everything around them; or to see students striking during most of the days of the week, everything that lead to the concealment of the academic year. That day I was invited to visit a normal university, a normal faculty that of science. The visit intends to make me see the Science Faculty in which there is MP that I want to do.
Upon seeing the time was running I did not wait the scholarship; I preferred starting taking the course at the University of Niamey. I submitted my files in three different faculties: the faculty of science (MP), the faculty of letter and human sciene (English and Geography), and Medical Science. I still expected have the Canadian test. I was never selected as the awarded were never announced.
To have me tolerated my imprisonment, and have me given up fighting to be free and wanting to study in the University of Niamey, the council gives me a motorcycle. Already in the preparation of my application to the different scholarship, Oscar gave me the old Yahama Mate 50. It was on the motorcycle that I started going to take the courses at MP hoping always any time soon; I will have Canadian Scholarship.
